Ricky Lamont "Money Mont" Matthews was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole after being found guilty on two counts of armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault in connection with the 2009 death of Calvin Kentrell Banks.
(December 11, 2010) For more than four decades, 637 Jefferson Drive was a modestly decorated home during Christmas, with lights that twinkled and shined during the month of December appealing to both neighbors and those traveling on nearby Iris Drive.
A new home: Covington resident JoAnn Sims' 35-foot tall red cedar tree was cut and placed in the Governor's Mansion front yard for Christmas, and on Dec. 5 the lights came on. Sims donated the tree, which she planted 30 years ago.
