Mr. and Mrs. John Degonia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 1. They were married in Santa Ana, California on Jan. 1, 1965.

On Feb. 26, 2014, James Coggins Jr. and Ola Lee Coggins will celebrate their 70-year wedding anniversary. The Cogginses have lived in the Covington area for the past 89 years. During their 70-year marriage, they had two children, Sherry and Jimmy Coggins. James and Ola Lee also have four grandchildren: Jamie Coggins, Christie Lindsey, Samantha Odum and Kyle Coggins. Their legacy includes 10 great-grandchildren, and two more via adoption.
