Jim and Martha Hardman, of Covington, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa, to Chris Orrison, son of Paul Orrison and the late June Orrison, of Brunswick, Maryland.  

Melissa, a graduate of Georgia Tech, earned a Master’s at Georgia College and is part of the full-time English faculty at Central Georgia Technical College. 

Chris, who earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s at the University of Maryland, is a senior licensing trainer at GEICO and part of the adjunct business faculty at Central Georgia Technical College and Mercer University. He is also chairman of the board of trustees at Central Georgia Technical College. 

The wedding is planned for Nov. 18 at the Brickyard Golf Club in Macon, where they are members. Chris and Melissa will honeymoon in New Orleans and reside in Macon.
