The Covington Rotary Club held its 22nd annual Cars of the Past car show this Sunday, and the caliber of the event matched the weather – great.

More than 170 cars, motorcycles and carts lined the Covington Square on a day were temperatures reached in the 60’s and clouds never reached Newton County.

Automobiles ranging from a Model A Ford, 1922 Moon, 1956 Chevy, 1968 Mustang GT Shelby, all the way to current Fords and Chevys brought people to Covington from throughout Georgia.

Funds raised from the car show go to the Covington Rotary Club’s Empty Stocking Fund, bringing Christmas present to underprivileged children throughout Newton County.
