One year ago, the unthinkable happened. At 9:37 p.m. on Aug. 25, 2023, the Covington Fire Department (CFD) responded to a call on Hendricks St. A fire broke out in downtown Covington. The fire then spread to a number of other buildings on Monticello St, leading to a horrific scene in the heart of downtown.
