Principal Cher was a key proponent of adding Interact to Eastside’s list of other proud service clubs.  Teacher Shaughnessy assisted in the club’s formation and the students’ efforts with several local projects. According to Shaughnessy, their next effort may be one of international scope.  

Says Poyntner White, “We’re so proud see these young people, who are eager to make a difference in their community. Interact teaches its members that putting ‘Service Before Self,’ the Rotary Motto, is the basis of both good citizenship and a full life.”
