“The Main Street Finance Program gives us the ability to help our residents with the upfront costs for purchasing and installing new appliances,” Tim Morris, Covington utilities director, said.
The Main Street On-Bill Finance Program is a 0 percent interest loan a customer can receive through the City of Covington, with a maximum loan amount of $5,000 and a flexible loan term up to 60 months. A customer can obtain a loan application from Covington’s City Hall. Once approved the customer hires a licensed contractor to install the natural gas appliance. The customer works with the City to establish the terms of the loan and the loan payments will be added to the customer’s monthly utility bill.
