NEWTON COUNTY – Early voting in the general primary election begins today for Newton County voters.

Voters can choose from two voting precincts for weekday early voting. The first location is Prospect Church at Oak Hill which is located at 6752 Highway 212. The second location is Harvest Church located at 2075 Highway 212.

Both locations will be open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additionally, the Turner Lake Recreation Center (Banquet Hall) will host a number of weekend dates for early voting. Those dates are Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, Sunday: May 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Absentee ballot applications are being accepted until May 10 at 11:59 p.m.
