COVINGTON, Ga. — Candidates running in hotly contested races from across the spectrum of public offices up for grabs in 2020 have made their way to Newton County and continue to do so to allow their message to be heard.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Newton County Democrats will host several of these candidates at their first Quarterly Breakfast Meeting from 10 a.m. to noon.

Among those to be in attendance are U.S. Senate candidate Jon Ossoff, congressional candidate William Haston, state  Senate District 17 candidate Kelly Rose and Newton County Superior Court candidate Cheveda McCamy.

With Newton County delivering a solid win for Democrats up and down the ballot in 2018, candidates in the 2020 race are lining up to visit. Saturday’s event will be held at the Newton County Democratic headquarters, located at 1182 Washington St. SW in downtown Covington.
