COVINGTON, Ga. - Members of the Chi Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. that services both Newton and Rockdale Counties will donate copies of Alpha Kappa Alpha's Official History Book, "Priceless Pearls - Dimensions of Sisterhood and Service" to both the Covington and the Porter Memorial Library Branches. The book outlines the 110 year history of the Sorority that was founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC.
The chapter's president, Joy Jackson Guilford, will officially donate the books to the Newton County Library Director, Lace Keaton at 1 p.m. Monday, April 16 at the Porter Memorial Library Branch.
