COVINGTON, Ga. - The Newton College and Career Academy will host an Open House for prospective new students on Tuesday, Jan. 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Students currently enrolled in the ninth, 10th, and 11th grade are invited to attend with their parents.
“The students and their parents will have the opportunity to tour the facility, speak with trainers, and attend an information session,” said Chad Walker, principal and chief executive officer of NCCA. “We will have faculty and staff on hand to answer any questions.
NCCA strives to enhance academic achievement and provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in postsecondary education and the workforce. The school offers Newton County high school students career-related pathway courses in addition to their academic courses. NCCA also offers Advanced Placement classes and Dual Enrollment classes with Georgia Piedmont Technical College.
Applications for enrollment NCCA will be available on the school’s website beginning Tuesday, Jan. 15. The application deadline is Thursday, Feb. 7. Anyone with questions should contact NCCA Student Services at 678-625-6769.
