Incumbent Chris Smith defeated Maurice Carter for Covington City Council Post 1 East Tuesday night.

In Mansfield, incumbent Lisa Dunn kept her Post 4 city council seat, defeating Larry Cumins 52%-48%.

 

COVINGTON CITY COUNCIL, POST 1 EAST

Chris Smith (incumbent) - 56% (346)
Maurice Carter -44% (274)

 

MANSFIELD CITY COUNCIL, POST 4

Lisa Dunn (incumbent) - 52 % (38 votes)
Larry Cummins - 48% (35 votes)

COVINGTON, Ga. — Two Covington men were arrested at Turner Lake Softball Complex after a heated argument led bystanders to call the police.
