In partnership with Scent Evidence K9, Sheriff Ezell Brown and the Newton County Sheriff's Office invite you to attend an essential training session next week on the Scent Preservation Kit®.
The Scent Preservation Kit® allows for the pre-collection and long-term preservation of an individual’s unique scent, providing trained K-9 units with an uncontaminated scent article for search efforts. This remarkable resource is as unique as a fingerprint and can be preserved for up to 10 years, giving search teams a critical advantage in locating missing persons quickly and efficiently.
The Office of the Sheriff strongly encourages first responders, clinicians, educators and parents or guardians of children or adults with autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s or mental health challenges to participate. Together, we can make a life-saving difference.
