Mr. George Richard “Dick” Wilson, age 77, of Oxford formerly of Conyers passed away August 24, 2011. He was born July 28, 1934 to the late Robert Oliver and Marie Schweiger Wilson in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mr. Wilson was a manufactures representative working for Child Craft Industries until his retirement. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, a private pilot and a loving family man. Mr. Wilson not only enjoyed spending time with his family he loved it, he enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his sons and grandchildren, he was in the truest form a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 56 years Mrs. Wanda Wilson, his children and their spouses; George Richard “Dick” and Cornelia Wilson of Grayson, Leslie Ann Wakefield of Conyers, Susan Wilson of Greensboro, Robert Scott “Bob” and Tscharner Wilson of Conyers and Michael Wilson of Porterdale 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Donald R. and Shirley Wilson and sister Rosanne Winford Mc Dowell all of Indianapolis, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at10 O’clock, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father John Kieran and Father Paul Fogarty officiating. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
