Obituary
Brenda Joyce Post Wilson was born September 25, 1953 to the late Emma Lucile Post and Ralph Baker. She was preceded in death by both parents. Brenda entered into eternal rest after a six week battle with a second stroke on April 30, 2016.

Brenda was born in Atlanta, Georgia as a *Grady baby* and was raised in the neighborhood of Vine City.  She had made Covington her home for the past nine years with her husband, James L. Wilson. She was affectionately known to her family and friends as *BJ*.

Brenda went to E. A. Ware Elementary School, Central Junior High and Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She was christened at Cosmopolitan A.M.E. Church in Vine City; Brenda was outgoing and enjoyed meeting people so her profession as a waitress was good for her. She worked for the Sheraton Biltmore, Shoney's, and Denny's among other places. She was working at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport when her first stroke forced her into retirement. She had two relationships which produced two daughters. She met James Wilson in 1983 and they were married two years later. This union produced a third daughter. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida with her husband when he was transferred in 1989 and returned to Atlanta in 1996. She gave her life to Christ in 1999 after her first stroke. She and James were members of Word of Faith Ministries with Dale C. Bronner as their pastor until they moved to Covington in 2006.

James and Brenda joined Early Hope Baptist Church in 2006. She served on the Mother Board and in the Prison Ministry. She also taught Sunday school on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. She loved shopping and meeting people and was quick to let people know she loved them. She also enjoyed reading her bible and listening to sermons and gospel music. She also enjoyed horror movies.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of thirty-one years, James L. Wilson, three daughters; Chantriss Renee Bolton (Johnny), Jerponica Lashonda Post-Taylor (Tommy) and Chardonnay Denise Wilson (Derrick), five grandchildren; Juwan Cortez Bolton, Playtheus  Argust Taylor, Chartra Renee Bolton, Savannah Nicole Merridith, and Joel Jermaine Merridith, one sister, Sallie Vanessa Dawson, one brother, Robert Bernard Post, Sr. all of Atlanta, Georgia, and a long time friend, Roy Lee Gates, one niece, four nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
