Mrs. Sarah Jane “Sally” Kingree, 82, of Covington, passed away Thursday, Dec.6, 2018. She was born Aug. 23, 1936 and grew up in Cameron and Glendale, West Virginia. She was an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd and a member of the Covington Garden Club. Mrs. Kingree graduated from the National Cathedral School and attended the University of West Virginia. She was passionate about Auburn Football and the many Springer Spaniels owned over the years.
Mrs. Kingree was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Ben Kingree III and her daughter Mary Leslie Lyle. She is survived by her children Ben Kingree IV (Kimberley), Jeffery Brooks Kingree (Martha), and Susan Kingree Dodge (David) her seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren along with a host of other family and close friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kingree will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at The Church of the Good Shepherd with Father Edwin Beckham officiating with a reception following at the fellowship hall. Interment will follow at New Covington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd, 4140 Clark St. SW, Covington, GA 30014. J.C.
