Here’s a sociopolitical thesis question: what’s the correlation between folks who believe political conspiracy theories and those who once believed pre-internet urban legends? I betcha I’m on to something here. I’ll hypothesize further: I would reckon that people who have believed urban legends or currently believe conspiracy theories were once the same children who believed those kid-centered schoolyard myths.
