We are pleased to see city officials are continuing to hold their aggressive stance on dealing with the Municipal airport.

Offering a fuel discount will only encourage more planes to use the local airport and could provide some profit for the city.

The council also approved plans to build a new airport entrance and terminal building.

The proposed entrance, to be located on Highway 142, will provide better access to Interstate 20. This is a needed update, as the old access located off of airport road is cumbersome at best.

We’re hoping to see the airport really take off.
