Last week a Covington Resident won big in the Jumbo Bucks Lotto by matching all six numbers and racking up a total prize of $9.6 million.  What would you do with that kind of money?

Tony Allison: “I’d probably help my family out as much as I could.  The rest of it…just try to help people”

Patty Champion: “I’d waste every dime of it.  I’d get on the first plane to Las Vegas and have a good time.”  If there was any money left after Vegas, Champion says she would get her sisters and kids houses.  Champion says she doesn’t need much and adds that money doesn’t buy happiness.  She pointed to her heart, saying, “happiness is found here.”

Nancy Brittany Tuttle: “First I would pay down all of my student loans and my husband’s, because those are crazy.  I would pay off the house.  Get my husband and myself new cars and set aside something for my nieces.  Then put something into savings for retirement.”

Tyler Bolz: “Depending on how much it is…I would probably help family and close friends pay off student debts, that kind of thing.  I would like to imagine I would invest it back into the community…but I would probably buy an island and never been seen again.”

Russia Collins: “The first thing, of course, is give back then I would treat myself…with a lot of money you don’t really know what you would do.”
