The Arabia Mountain Heritage Area (AMHAA) has produced a self-guided bike tour map that is now available to the public.
Rockdale County Parks and Recreation, along with the AMHAA, have been working together on bike trails for the community. The AMHAA’s interactive map outlines the PATH Foundation trail and features clickable links and descriptions for areas of interest in the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.
The PATH Foundation trail, beginning in Lithonia and expanding beyond Panola Mountain State Park, links natural and historic areas throughout the Heritage Area. Ten more miles of the trail is scheduled to open, including a connection to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Rockdale.
Rockdale County is working with public and nonprofit partnerships to promote and ensure the community can live active, healthy lifestyles through the expansion of parks and trails.
