NEWTON COUNTY – In a surprising move, Alcovy boys head coach Taylor Jackson is out after two seasons with the program. Sources familiar with the situation tell The Covington News that Jackson was informed that he would not be returning as head coach of the Alcovy boy’s team by athletic director Patrick Carter. The decision was labeled as “not mutual” between both parties.

Multiple Alcovy Tigers advanced through to sectionals with quality performances at the team’s region meet.Alcovy competed at the Region 8-AAAAA meet at Loganville High School this past week and left with five first place medals.
