COVINGTON, Ga. — Kinsley and Keelie Jordan became part of biggest signing class in the history of the Peachtree Academy volleyball program Thursday afternoon.
The twin sisters penned their respective National Letters of Intent to extend their academic and athletic careers together at Brewton-Parker College in Mt. Vernon, Ga.
The Jordan twins were the second and third members of Peachtree Academy’s senior class to sign volleyball scholarships. Their signings come on the heels of fellow classmate Emily Earwood, who signed with Mercer University in early December.
It’s only fitting for the Class of 2021 to feature the program’s first Division I signee and its most collegiate signees in a single year. After all, they capped off a dominant prep career by going 30-0, trailing for just one set all season en route to capturing their third consecutive GAPPS Division I-AA state title.
“Kinsley and Keelie are Peachtree volleyball. This was a very mediocre program before they got into high school, and they were the catalysts to what we’ve become now,” Peachtree head coach Bobby Mitchell said. “They were the first to go out and start playing year-round volleyball. Four years later, we’ve won three straight titles.”
