The Atlanta Braves may still be in spring training, but you don’t have to travel far to experience a great baseball game. On Tuesday, March 25 the community is invited to the GPC Newton Campus for  special family night featuring free food, giveaways and of course—great baseball—when  the Georgia Perimeter College Jaguars host the West Georgia Tech Golden Knights.

Activities begin at 5 p.m., when potential college students and their families can learn more about GPC, with admission information sessions, campus tours and dual enrollment information.  Free GPC application fee waivers will be available for students interested in applying to the college.

Then at 5:45 p.m. it’s time to play ball with a “triple-threat” first pitch by Newton County Commission Chairman Keith Ellis, Covington Mayor Ronnie Johnston, and GPC interim president Rob Watts.

“The GPC Family Baseball Night is an opportunity for our community to experience our great baseball park and also show potential students what we have to offer at GPC,” said Keith Cobbs, GPC dean of student services on the Newton Campus.

The Georgia Perimeter College Baseball Field is located at 239 Cedar Lane, Covington.
